MANAGEMENT

Sales & Technical Director, Alf Tinker, offers extensive project management and boat building experience. Having worked for various International Yards and companies including Nico International, BMT Nigel Gee, Veecraft Marine and Damen Shipyards Cape Town, Alf has over 15 years of Yard and Project Management experience. His CV includes successfully managing and building many vessels in steel and aluminium from 6 to 30 meters. From initial client brief, concept design, detailed design, construction, commissioning and handover, Mountain Marine is in a unique position to advise, guide and manage the entire process.

Built on over 28 years of combined technical, financial and administrative experience, as well as passion for the marine industry, this young team is focused on developing, strengthening & retaining the country’s maritime skill. Mountain Marine adheres to a comprehensive quality management system satisfying the most discerning IACS Class Societies and local flag state administration (SAMSA). Our project costing and project cost accounting is based on the globally recognized Ship Work Breakdown Structure (SWBS).
